Focal point of artisans festival: handcrafted goods

Artisans flock to Village Green to showcase their work

The Village Green was the happening place Saturday for the Litchfield County Artisans Festival. The third annual event, previously held at the VFW, featured more than 80 artisans in a variety of mediums, including crocheted goods, stained glass, pottery, children’s clothing, resin and acrylic, fused glass, woodworks, soap, cookie-making, upcycle, candlemaking, photography, and jewelry-making. All items were handmade. Vendors hailed from New Milford, surrounding towns, and from out of state. In addition to artisans, musical entertainment was offered and several food trucks were on site. The festival was coordinated by residents Janet and Denice Wittmann.
