Hand Building with Clay, 6-week course
Learn the art of hand-building with clay!
In this 6-week course, you will learn about wedging, scoring, using slip, creating forms, slab rolling, texturizing, trimming, firing basics, and glazing.
Each week we will focus on one new project, as well as apply finishing touches to the prior week's projects.
Projects will include the following projects or similar, based on student interest:
- Pocket Vase
- Mug
- Trinket Dish
- Luminary
- Floral impression wall hanger
- garden gnome or fairy house
The fee for this course includes 15 lbs of clay, instruction, shelf space for WIP, bisque firing, glazing, and glaze firing. Once you have completed this 6-week course you will be able to create many items from clay on your own.
Clay for additional projects is available for purchase.
