Melanie and Adam play everything from acoustic rock & popular music to originals, with flavors of jazz, blues, folk & funk. Their covers include everything from Joni Mitchell & Joan Osborne to Pearl Jam & The Black Crows to Dolly Parton & John Prine.
Melanie Fernandi is a New Jersey native, who grew up in a very musical family. She started composing her own original songs at a very young age. She later taught herself to play guitar (& some piano) by ear & with the help of her mom and dad, and 3 older brothers.
Adam is a Connecticut native & was a prodigy cellist at the age of 9 & soon after, transferred those skills to guitar. Later, he earned his degree in jazz performance & composition. He has played many different styles, with many different bands. His skills & musicality rivals some of the greatest musicians, & bands often choose him for his creative style & his ability to lead as well.
Both Melanie & Adam have been playing music professionally for over 30 years & started playing together 20 years ago, when Adam joined Melanie’s band in Seattle. They have both lived in several different cities over the years, but have recently reunited here in Sherman, CT & love being able to play together again!
