New Milford to be celebrated at hockey night

Danbury Hat Tricks' game to support local youth athletic programs

Two great things – the Town of New Milford and ice hockey – will come together Feb. 28 for a celebratory event.

The Danbury Hat Tricks and the Town of New Milford will partner up for “Best Town in the USA” hockey night, which will feature a night of hockey and a celebration of all things New Milford.

Leading up to the event, New Milford residents are invited to nominate a New Milford Champion – someone who has made significant contributions to the community – who will receive complimentary Hat Tricks tickets for themselves and their families and will be celebrated during on the “Best Town in the USA” hockey night. 

The Hat Tricks will take on the Port Huron Prowlers at the Danbury Ice Arena Feb. 28 at 7:30 p.m.

The event is an opportunity for New Milford residents to come together and celebrate all things New Milford. 

It will celebrate the town’s history, community spirit, and exceptional contributors, according to the mayor.

The town’s educators, business leaders, first responders, and other outstanding individuals will be honored throughout the evening.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to youth athletics in New Milford.
