New Milford businesses voted statewide winners
Two New Milford businesses have been cited as winners in Connecticut Magazine’s Best Restaurants 2024.
Housatonic River Brewery and Greca Mediterranean Kitchen + Bar each received the top honor of being named a statewide winner, and were also given accolades in other categories.
In addition, Yokohama, Tandoori Flames and Kumo were named as top recommended restaurants by a panel of food experts.
Housatonic River Brewing was named the statewide winner in two categories: Best Brewery in Connecticut and Best Live Music in Connecticut.
In addition, it was named the Litchfield County winner in two categories: Best Brewery and Best Live Music.
This is the first year Housatonic River Brewing, which opened in 2018, has been recognized by CT Magazine for its Best of program.
Greca was named as the statewide runner-up in three categories: Best Greek, Best Mediterranean, and Best Fine Dining.
It was also named the Litchfield County winner in five categories: Best Green, Best Mediterranean, Best Fine Dining, Best Gluten-Free, and Best Seafood.
In addition, it was named a finalist in three Litchfield County categories: Best Hidden Gem, Best Seafood, and Best Gluten-Free.
Greca, which opened in 2020, was voted CT Magazine’s Best Overall Excellence statewide for 2022 and 2021, Best Mediterranean/Greek Restaurant in 2023, 2022 and 2021, along with Best New Restaurant in 2021 and Best Seafood Restaurant (Litchfield County) in 2023 and 2022.
Yokohama was cited as a recommended restaurant in two categories – Japanese and Sushi.
Tandoori Flames was recognized in the Indian restaurant category.
Kumo was a recommended restaurant in the Sushi category.
