Every Friday morning at 7am our All Levels Yoga class will meet together for a 75 minute yoga practice. This practice is intended to not only increase flexibility in the body, but in the mind as well. Yoga brings wellness and unity to the entire being, mind, body and soul.

While we do recommend some foundational yoga experience, all are welcome to join this class as props and modifications can be used to make this practice accessible for all!

Oliver Tobin will lead the class through pranayama (breath work), dhyana (meditation), and asana (physical yoga postures) with an upbeat attitude and an open heart.

Gentle Mindfulness Yoga

Let Dawn guide you through gentle yoga moves that are perfect for all levels. Learn breathing and relaxation techniques to take off the mat and out into the real world. Enjoy some stretching and leave class feeling calm and rejuvenated!

Dawn will then lead you through a gentle, slow flow yoga planned carefully to help the body and mind release tension. Modifications are offered during all classes so that new students as well as seasoned yogis or yoginis can benefit from this nurturing practice.

Breathing techniques designed to alleviate stress both on and off the mat (in the real world, where let's face it most stress happens) will be taught and practiced.

Classes will incorporate the principles of mediation and mindfulness. The goal of this class is that you feel relaxed, rejuvenated and centered when you leave class. Additionally these skills can often help you to manage situational stress/anxiety/tension as it occurs once you step off your mat and head back into the real world.

No yoga or meditation experience necessary. Bring your own yoga mat and a small blanket or beach towel.

Requirements:

Comfortable clothing, your own yoga mat, yoga strap

Our instructor will facilitate parent and child through a variety of obstacle courses designed to develop your child’s motor skills, balance, strength, coordination, and social skills in a safe fun environment. Gymnasts will gain experience with the beam, vault, bars and tumbling on equipment specifically designed to accommodate little bodies. They will bounce on our in ground trampolines, run, swing, climb, work on handstands, cartwheels, rolls and more! The parent’s job is to have fun bonding with their child while guiding them through the obstacles giving them assistance as needed. The class will include free time to utilize the space and equipment with your child.

Preschool Class (Ages 3.5-5) - 10:15 - 11:10 AM

We welcome back producer Fred Zollo to show and speak on his film, Ghosts of Mississippi.

In this film based on actual events, black activist Medgar Evers (James Pickens Jr.) is murdered in 1963, and much of the evidence points toward white supremacist Byron De La Beckwith (James Woods). However, after two trials, De La Beckwith is acquitted twice by a jury of whites. Now, decades later in 1989, Evers' widow, Myrlie (Whoopi Goldberg), thinks she has evidence to finally convict him. But no lawyer will touch the case except the young and brash Bobby DeLaughter (Alec Baldwin).

Odyssey of the Mind: The peak of beyond the box thinkers.

Mondays: Non-competitive session.

Thursdays: Competitive session that will go to the state tournament at Bethel Middle School March 29, 2025.

Non-Competitive

In this class participants will begin to develop the fun and creative thinking skills that Odyssey of the Mind is built upon. For example: name things that break, if you had a million bars of soap, what would you do? And hands-on activities such as getting balls into containers of different sizes, building bridges between chairs, drawing a doodle and telling a story.

Competitive

Teams will design, build, and present their unique solution at the annual CT State Odyssey of the Mind Tournament at Bethel Middle School on Saturday, March 29th. This is a competition against other teams in the same problem and age division

If your child is interested in participating, there will be an open house on the first day, November 14 from 4:30-5pm to go over information and requirements, as well as give parents an opportunity to ask any questions they may have.

- Come learn in a class designed just for you…a beginner!! You will learn the basic stitches of knitting – the knit stitch and the purl stitch – as well as how to read a yarn label so you can buy yarn on your own after classes end, how to read a knitting pattern, and more!

- 6 weekly classes, 1.5 hours each

- All materials and supplies will be provided at the 1st class

- Requirements: None

Instructor: Andrea Dener

Instructor Bio: My name is Andrea Dener and I call myself The Yarn Farmer because I love knitting and crocheting fun items inspired by the farm and food...like carrot scarves, pumpkin hats, and chicken coasters!

I've been knitting and crocheting since I was 10 years old and love both crafts but LOVE TEACHING THEM EVEN MORE so I became certified to teach both by the Craft Yarn Council of America!

I look forward to bringing out the 'inner knitter' and 'inner crocheter' in you!
